SOCIB & IMEDEA present at the IV Symposium of Physical Oceanography, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The IV Symposium of Marine Science took place from 11 to 13 June in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This year the Symposium was organised in combination with the III Encuentro de la Oceanografía Física Española (EOF2014) and the XVII Seminario Ibérico De Química Marina. The three conferences gathered more than 300 researchers and students, including Cisco Werner (NOAA, La Jolla) and Jorge Sarmiento (Princeton University).

The SOCIB and IMEDEA groups were well represented, especially in the sessions"Remote Sensing Oceanography - Technology for the environment" and "Mesoscale Processes". The SOCIB Data Centre was presented by C. Troupin, with an emphasis on the data availability and the services to researchers and general public, while the HF radar facility was by A. Lana.
