SOCIB present at the 1st Ocean Observers Workshop

SOCIB’ actively participated at the 1st Ocean Observers Workshop, held in Brest, 13-14 June, 2017. Ocean Observers workshop was jointly organized by the Joint WMO-IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology in-situ Observations Programme Support Centre (JCOMMOPS) and the European contribution to the Argo Program (EuroArgo ERIC), in collaboration with the Argo Project Office, the IOC/UNESCO and the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE) Office.

Ocean Observers workshop bringed together ocean scientists, educational authorities and teachers, marine communicators, sailing community and other stakeholders (public, policy-makers, and etc.), who was willing to share marine science educational resources and experiences for exploring the possibilities to establish new international collaborative activities.
SOCIB presented all SOCIB Outreach activities, in particular and specifically the Medclic project and all the activities and materials developed in the last years.
