Holds a Degree in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona, 2008. From an early age, Alba has had an indefatigable exploratory spirit towards everything related to seas and oceans, which has led her for to dedicate herself professionally, for more than a decade, to professional diving and seafaring around the world. In addition, she has been working as an underwater camera technician in film projects and, recently, as an oceanography technician and diver for environmental surveillance plans in the Balearic Islands. Her growing interest in oceanography, is the reason why she wanted to consolidate her professional career towards this direction. At SOCIB, she is a technician in marine operations, within EBAMAR-Portocolom project, which aims to implement a long-term observation system, using advanced technologies, that allow to monitor and analyse the biogeochemical and biodiversity variations generated by climate change in the Mediterranean Sea.
