Knowledge Transfer

The ICTS SOCIB transfers knowledge through the development of applications and the provision of expert advisory services, training, scientific communication, and the promotion of ocean culture. To achieve this, it establishes bidirectional and continuous cooperation links between science, public administration, the business sector, the educational community, and citizens in general.

The knowledge gained through the scientific and technical activity of the ICTS SOCIB over the last 15 years, in addition to access to its own metocean data sources and those of other international institutions, allows the ICTS SOCIB to design digital tools and provide services aimed at users and strategic sectors. The main goal of these tools and services is to facilitate decision-making and promote marine and coastal management based on scientific evidence.
