The EIB grants a loan to co-finance the Spanish R & D for three years

The Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed an agreement for the funding of the Spanish R & D. As agreed, the EIB will finance with EUR 625m all the contributions of the Secretary of State for R & D at Public Research Institutions and Singular Scientific Infrastructures (Large Scale Infrastructures) with very favorable terms, including the contributions from 2012 until 2014.

Before the final signing of the agreement, the EIB's technical team visited some OPIS, including the National Research Council (CSIC), and some ICTS, as the Alba Synchrotron and the Coastal Observing System of the Balearic Islands with a positive result (for more information please visit SOCIB).
