Colonia Sant Pere Station

The primary goal of the station located in the port of Colonia de Sant Pere (Mallorca) is to provide sea level measurements. To achieve this, the station is outfitted with two types of sensors: a water pressure gauge and an atmospheric pressure sensor. The combination of data from these sensors, through the application of the hydrostatic equation, enables the calculation of the height of the water column above the water pressure sensor. Additionally, by referencing the sensor's position relative to the geoid, it is possible to obtain absolute sea level measurements.

The ITCS SOCIB reinstalled this station in 2015 and has been managing it ever since.
