Galfi Station

The primary objective of the weather station located at Puig de Galfi (Ibiza) is to supply the six most crucial weather parameters—wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and rainfall—in near real-time. This facilitates continuous monitoring of the local meteorological conditions. In addition to the weather station, a webcam is installed to offer a visual representation of the sea conditions in real-time. This setup aids in overseeing the functionality of the High-Frequency Radar (HFR) system.

Furthermore, an AIS (Automatic Identification System) antenna has been mounted to provide instantaneous information regarding the identification, position, course, and speed of ships.

The station receives backing from the 7 Pines Resort Ibiza and the Ayuntamiento de Sant Josep de sa Talaia (Ibiza).
