La Mola Station
This station is comprised of a suite of subaquatic sensors (CTDs), along with a barometer and webcam, to gather atmospheric and oceanographic variables such as sea temperature, salinity, and atmospheric pressure, among others.
Additionally, an Automatic Identification System (AIS) antenna has been installed to offer real-time information on the identification, position, course, and speed of vessels.
The primary goal of the La Mola Station is to provide real-time data on the coastal conditions in the Bay of Mahon.
This station receives support from the Instituto Español de Oceanografía and the Govern de les Illes Balears.
