Climate Change Projections:"AEMET extreme temperature and precipitation data referred to climate change projections in Spain"
The Meteorological Agency has published on its website the latest data on temperature and precipitation extremes related to the projections of climate change in Spain, complementing the information already available on average values within the same scenarios available at http://www.aemet.es/es/elclima/cambio_climat/proyecciones
For the presentation of this new information a set of intuitive extreme indexes have been selected being easily interpretable. This set includes three indexes related to precipitation: number of rainy days, precipitation intensity and duration of dry periods. Two to peak temperatures: number of warm days and duration of heat waves and two to minimum temperatures: number of warm nights and number of frost days. They are accompanied by their estimated uncertainties. This information is available by regions and comes from the dynamic regionalization carried out in the ENSEMBLES European project for an intermediate emission scenario, namely the A1B.
