Services and rates of the SOCIB R/V

Rates applicable to competitive research projects and Ship Time Requests

(costs updated on July 1, 2023)

These rates have been established in line with the cost estimation criteria for operating vessels of the Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) Spanish Oceanographic Fleet (FLOTA), according to criteria discussed at the national level in the meetings of the “Costs” Working Group of FLOTPOL. Likewise, these criteria coincide, at an international level, with those applied in different European countries after their analysis within the European Research Vessels Operators Group (ERVO).

  • These rates exclusively cover the operating costs of the vessel, so there is no profit from its operation.

Daily prices1 for public bodies:

  • Navigation for up to 8 hours2 (3 crew members): €3,600.00/day
  • Navigation for up to 8 hours2 with kitchen service: €4,600.00/day
